FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 5

Today, let’s pray about our place in God’s mission. FBA began in 1848 in a one-room schoolhouse downtown on Peachtree and Pryor streets. The ladies pioneered the earliest outreach efforts, meeting the needs of Atlanta’s poor through the Woman’s Missionary Union. For these 173 years, our church’s pastors have preached God’s Word and our church’s members have given sacrificially to fund our ministries and to further God’s work through international missions. We are now the heirs of this great legacy! Let’s pray that God will use each of us in His mission of spreading the love of Christ from Atlanta to the ends of the earth.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for our church’s long history of solid biblical proclamation and evangelistic outreach. Thank you that the work you began in 1848 with a few faithful men and women continues today. Help us to continue sharing the love of Christ from the streets of Atlanta to the ends of the earth. Please show each of us the part you want us to play in your work by praying, giving, and going. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
