Adventures in Missions Series

Adventures in Missions Series

July 16 | 12:30 p.m. | Heritage Hall
Robert and Lara Vitter serve with Operation Mobilization in Italy near the city of Pisa. They are partnering with an Italian couple who have been missionaries in Italy for over 30 years and are licensed family counselors.

Robert works in sports ministry, running a weekly sports camp for children and is an assistant coach with an upper level American football team in Florence a few evenings a week to engage local men. He also has a unique opportunity to teach English a few days a week in the local public school. Lara focuses on community outreach for women, hosting English groups and arts & crafts and book club ministries. They are partnering with a local church and helped start a Family Community Center. The Center provides after-school activities, help with homework, sports programs, English classes, family counseling and summer camps.

The Vitters’ goal is to disciple those who know the Lord and to be hospitable to those who do not yet know Him by offering fellowship, meals and friendship. The Vitters have four young children and a fifth baby is due this November.

Please join us for lunch July 16 to hear about how God has been using them to spread the Good News and to encourage them as they return to the field.

The Sunday school class is from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in Room 2660, and the Spanish worship service is from 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in the Chapel. We have a time of traditional worship and a message by Dr. Charles Stanley, professionally translated by In Touch Ministries. The Sunday School class and the worship service are to edify the believers and to reach the non-believers with the saving message of Christ. Our goal is to fulfill the Great Commission and for this reason we always make an invitation to accept Christ as Lord and Savior at the end of each service. Please join us at 9:30 a.m. to enjoy some coffee and have a time of fellowship before the class.

Wednesdays:  We have a Bible study and a prayer meeting in Room 2660 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
