Way of the Master Basic Training
Sundays, March 5-May 7
1-2:30 p.m. | Room 2430
Learn to Biblically and effectively share your faith using the Law, the Ten Commandments, which speaks directly to the conscience the way Jesus did. Like it says in Galatians 3:24, “The Law is our tutor to lead us to Christ.“ Overcome your fear of sharing the Gospel of Jesus with family, friends and strangers during this eight-week evangelism training class.
Local Missions Fair
April 30 | 8 a.m.-1 p.m. | Main Hallway
During our Local Missions Fair the main hallways will be an avenue of over 30 local missions ministries at display tables, helping FBA members get involved in the Great Commission in their own backyard. Opportunities include involvement in prison ministries, crisis pregnancy centers, assisted living homes, hospice care, apartment ministries, street evangelism, homeless shelters and many more. Pray about getting involved in Local Missions and come check out all the represented organizations that minister to our community.
Third Saturday of each month
Light Up the Dark Buckhead
Fridays | 8:30 p.m.–12:30 a.m.
Light Up the Dark is a street evangelism ministry serving Buckhead on Friday nights. We share good news about salvation through Jesus with tracts (provided), Scripture and personal testimonies. Because we are on the streets every Friday night, we have the opportunity to develop relationships and pray specifically for and with people.
Our ministry philosophy is that walking with Jesus is a joyful life and that salvation in Christ is good news. Because of our sin, we have all been in need of reconciliation to God and only Jesus Christ can provide it. You and I have it and we have the joy and privilege of sharing it.
Sundays 4 Sisters
First and Third Sundays
Begins at 8:30 a.m.
Do you feel led to work with ladies who are struggling with major challenges in their lives? Maybe you have been through something difficult that God used to give you special empathy, and a desire to show encouragement and love to women going through hardship. First Baptist Atlanta ministers to the women of My Sister’s House (MSH) – The Women and Children’s Shelter of the Atlanta Mission (AM) every first and third Sunday of the month.
