The countdown to September 12, Promotion Sunday, has begun, and many of you have already received a phone call from your new teachers. Be on the lookout for an airline ticket with your new room assignment. It should arrive in your home mailbox just a few days before we start what will undoubtedly be a year of great growth and excitement.
Also, Wednesday nights kick off on September 8, with the beginning of Children’s Choir and KidZone. In PraiseKids this fall, we will continue and expand upon the Saddle Ridge Ranch theme from VBS in our choirs as we sing and celebrate the Lord together. In KidZone, we will tackle the importance of knowing God's promises and making the most of every moment while playing fun games made popular on the Minute to Win It game show.

Vacation Bible School is June 14 - 18, 2010!
I have always loved Vacation Bible School! This one week, more than any other throughout the year, combines the energy and fun that makes being a kid so awesome with the simplest, yet most important, truths in life to create an experience you surely don’t want to miss.
This year’s western theme, Saddle Ridge Ranch, will show itself in Bible Study, Crafts, Recreation and Worship. Our Missions emphasis will go directly to ongoing mission work in Haiti.
Pull on your boots/line-dancing shoes, dust off your cowboy hat, round up some friends, and join us for Saddle Ridge Ranch on June 14!

GPS: God's Plan of Salvation
I am still amazed by the PraiseKids Spring Musical presentation of GPS: God’s Plan of Salvation. The energy and precision of the hand-motions, acting, singing and dancing brought a smile to my face and joy to my heart.
Nearly a week has passed and I am still humming the songs. And the words of the songs teach and remind me of some of the foundational truths of the Christian life: Jesus is the Way, the One who saves us. God’s commands are not to take away the fun in life but have been given for our benefit. God’s Spirit is with us to guide and correct us on our journey with Him, “recalculating, recalculating.” And God blesses a life of obedience.
Many thanks to all who participated in the preparation and performance of GPS and for reminding me that God can use us all for His glory. Let there be continued joy in the house of the Lord!
