This biblically based 8-week small group focuses on preparing engaged and pre-engaged couples for marriage. Using the Prepare/Enrich Assessment, the book, A Lasting Promise by Dr. Scott Stanley, and the Christian Prevention and Evaluation Program (CPREP) curriculum, couples will learn biblical principles and skills to build a lifelong, happy, healthy Christian marriage.
Topics will include spiritual beliefs, physical and relational intimacy, dealing with differences, conflict resolution, financial management, family and in-laws, children and parenting, and many more. Couples will meet privately with the group instructor team to review and discuss the results of the Prepare/Enrich assessment.
Prerequisite: Each couple must complete an individual Prepare/Enrich Assessment prior to the first group session. Specific details will be provided upon receipt of registration.
About the Instructors:
Kevin and Kathy started their married life of 36 years ago as area directors for Youth For Christ in Colorado and learned the skills they are teaching at the beginning of their marriage in a premarital program at their church. They have taught and mentored couples in premarital, marriage and parenting classes for over 30 years. They are committed to helping couples with a Christian foundation and the skills they were taught early on and still use in their own marriage today.
Kevin, a project manager in a large consulting company and Kathy, a Christian counselor with maximum effectiveness.com, are members of FBA. Their daughter Savannah was recently married in September, 2023.
