Next Steps Ministry helps guide people on their journey from first-time visitors to committed members. Volunteers assist in encouraging others on their faith journey and helping them take their next steps with Christ and here at First Baptist Atlanta.

Open Volunteer Positions

Next Steps

Baptism Team

Provide Red Carpet Service to Baptism Candidates as they take this step of obedience.
- Baptism is scheduled monthly.

Overlook Team

Greet and distribute Gift Bags to first-time guests after morning services.

Decision Room Team

Minister to individuals by sharing the Gospel.
Handle prayer, membership, and baptism inquiries after morning services.
- Evangelism training is desired.

First Class Team

Serve in our membership class by greeting, taking photographs of guests and giving out guest bags.
- First Cass is offered six times a year.

Special Events and Weekday Teams

Flexible schedule for weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
Receive email invitations to participate in an event or project that requires volunteer assistance.
Make communion packets, decorate the church, serve at blood drives, serve as a greeter at conferences, or fill in when needed.

Holiday Photo Team

Help us make Holidays special by giving a warm welcome to guests as they take annual photos of families and friends five or six times a year.

Building Tour Team

Assist guests in taking their next step by exploring the environments and ministries located on our campus.
- Tours are given quarterly.
