Volunteering in the Library

  • Do you love books?
  • Do you love people?
  • Do you delight in bringing the two together?

Then, consider joining the volunteer team of the Media Library.

It’s more than just putting books back on the shelf. Volunteers help connect members with resources designed to help them dig deeper into God’s Word, supplementing the teachings in sermons and classes.

Our volunteer team assists the librarian in operating the Media Library, handing circulation, shelving, and with special projects.  It is hard work, but oh, so rewarding!

In order to serve in this ministry, you must be a member of First Baptist Church of Atlanta.

Prepare resources and serve patrons, the pastoral staff, and leaders of the church.  The Library is a place where anyone interested in getting information can be greeted and made to feel welcome in Christ's love.

Frequency of Service

Library volunteers generally work on Sunday and on weekdays by special request.  Shifts range from 2 to 4 hours.

If you would like to join the team of library volunteers, first pray for God’s direction. Then stop by the Media Library and pick up an application.

We look forward to meeting you.
