Tim GoistTim Goist | Wyoming Wild at Heart Men’s Team
By degree, Tim is a geologist. By profession, he is an environmental consultant. Prior to 2002, he was a member of FBA but not particularly active until he decided to convert passive belief into active faith and voluntarily joined an FBA short-term mission team going to Russia in the summer of 2002. The trip was to work with orphans, and Tim was convinced he was unqualified to participate in any kind of mission trip, let alone working with orphans. Yet he went anyway, and the trip changed Tim's life forever. Tim quickly learned that we don't do things through our strength, but only through Christ can we accomplish His work (Philippians 4:13), and the Lord uses our weaknesses to show us His strength (2 Corinthians 12:9-10). Since that first trip, Tim has participated in seven additional mission trips to Russia and Lebanon, primarily as a team leader. Tim encourages anyone with even the smallest interest in going on a mission trip to follow that prompting and do so. He says he guarantees it will change your life, strengthen your faith, and bless you beyond your expectations.

Pat RaganPat and Traci Ragan | Montana Construction Team
Pat and his wife, Traci, have been married for 36 years and have three adult daughters, Lara (married to Tyler), Jessica (married to Daniel), and Hannah (married to Reid), as well as four amazing grandchildren, Judah, Asher, Simeon and Lily! Pat and Traci and their girls spent two life-transforming years serving full-time in Guatemala and the last 25+ years encouraging, equipping and leading others to serve in short and longer-term missions worldwide. One of the verses God has used over the years to help us stay focused is Luke 9:24, "For whoever wishes to save his life shall lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake, he is the one who will save it."

After a decade of practicing as a civil engineer, working in dozens of countries and almost every state in the US, Robert’s circumstances relocated him to Georgia. By God’s plan, he almost immediately found Nicole, the one his soul loves, in Atlanta. Nicole and her parents were members of FBA for nearly a decade, and FBA became Robert’s church home shortly after they met. As their love has grown in their six years of marriage, so has their engagement in FBA. You may recognize Robert and Nicole from the Overlook! While Robert always imagined himself going on mission trips, he never prioritized it in his busy schedule. That all changed in January 2019 when Robert went on an FBA mission trip to the Florida Keys to help restore homes impacted by Hurricane Irma, after which he felt a calling for short-term domestic missions. In 2021, Robert traveled with Pat Ragan to Montana in search of such opportunities, with the trips to Superior and Billings becoming FBA’s focus there in 2022. Robert strives to exemplify Proverbs 3: 5, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”  Robert has only been on one mission trip (so far), and it changed his life and faith. If you feel God's calling for missions, join the team and Robert in Montana!
