All couples scheduling First Baptist Church Atlanta for their wedding ceremony must complete an approved premarital counseling program designed to equip engaged couples with Biblical principles for a successful marriage. FBA premarital counseling is a six-session course tailored to suit the needs of each couple.

Program Requirements

At least 5 months before your wedding arrangements are actually made with the church, you should call the Counseling Ministry to schedule premarital counseling. Some FBA ministers will provide their own counseling to couples whose weddings they are officiating. However all arrangements should first be approved by the Counseling Ministry. There is a small fee for this course which is outlined in the Intake Documents.

The Director of Counseling must approve all counseling programs to be completed outside FBA. Failure to complete the approved counseling requirements will result in the possible postponement or cancellation of your wedding at FBA.
