A Message on Prayer from Dr. Charles F. Stanley

Prayer is the foundation of everything we do at First Baptist Church Atlanta. At a very young age, my mother taught me how to pray. She taught me the importance of talking to God as well as spending time in the Bible. For more than 50 years I have shared the same foundation of prayer that I grew up with. Several of the 30 Life Principles are related to prayer, but some are a specific call to prayer:

• Fight all your battles on your knees and you win every time.
• We stand tallest and strongest on our knees.
• Prayer is life's greatest time saver.

As we put on the whole Armor of God, we take up the Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God, and pray without ceasing (Ephesians 6:17-18). These are the only offensive weapons, and that is why they are such a threat to the enemy.
