The Academy of Performing Arts aspires to provide quality music education in a Christian environment for children and adults with the goal of preparing them for future service in musical performance, ministry and personal enjoyment.
The foundation of the Academy of Performing Arts lies in Scripture, when the tribe of Levi was set aside to be trained as musicians and leaders of worship in the temple (2 Chronicles 5:11-14). God has given talents and abilities to all of His children. We are encouraged to develop these gifts to their fullest potential as our Lord Jesus taught through the “Parable of the Talent” (Matthew 25:14-30). The Academy of Performing Arts was formed to provide high-quality training in all of the arts disciplines by qualified Christian professionals at an affordable price. We desire to develop each student’s God-given talents and abilities to their fullest potential for future service to the Lord through leading in worship and/or leading as a musical witness to the world.
Private lessons are taught weekly at First Baptist Church Atlanta and are scheduled at a mutually agreed upon time between student and instructor. To register for private lessons, fill out an enrollment form and submit it to the Academy Office. A teacher will contact you to schedule lessons.
Group classes will be offered throughout the year. If you are interested, submit a completed enrollment form to the Academy Office. You will be notified when registration opens for your selected class.
Fees are set to allow the Academy to provide top Christian professionals to teach in their area of expertise while keeping the costs to the student at the lowest possible level. There is no contract— you only need to commit monthly. A monthly tuition payment reserves your spot and guarantees the instructor an income.
Payment for each month’s lessons is due on the first of the month in which the lessons will be given. A student’s enrollment in the Academy may be dropped if payment is not received by the fifteenth of each month.
