Reaching imprisoned women - by teaching, encouraging, and evangelizing in order to help them become free of addictions and bondages. We also assist with women mentally challenged.

Teachers and facilitators are needed for Saturday Bible studies held at 3:30 PM. Later on that same day we conduct a worship service at 6:00 PM where preachers and teachers are needed. The Bible studies and worship service are held on the 3rd Saturday. We will be adding more Bible studies so more teachers will be needed. During conference times and Christmas times many volunteers are needed for nearly 80 to100 women attending. There is also a need for more teachers at Dekalb County to teach the women on various Sundays at 12:45 pm.

senior_citizens_logo

Volunteers are needed for two one-day mission projects in Atlanta to help Senior Citizen Services of Metropolitan Atlanta. The first is Sat., Sept. 24th and the second is Sat., Nov. 12th. Hopefully, you can commit to both, but just one would be still be a blessing to the senior clients and you as well. It is guaranteed to impact your spiritual life in a way unlike any other. Use your experience and possibly unknown abilities to reach out to needy elderly here in Atlanta. Be an extension of God's hands and heart. Develop new and memorable relationships with people you thought you'd never meet. Go beyond your comfort zone and gain a view that will change your prayer life. Give your time/talent or make a donation and you will never be the same again.

We need volunteers who want to serve. Individuals who enjoy working with their hands can assist with painting a home or cleaning up a yard. Anyone age 15 or older can help with this kind of work. An experienced supervisor will be on hand to direct the work and give pointers where needed. Be sure to wear old clothes that may get dirty or paint splattered, and bring a pair of gloves. All other supplies and equipment will be onsite when you arrive. You are welcome to bring any of your own brushes or yard equipment if you prefer. Work and fellowship with other members of FBA as you share God's love.

What to bring: Gloves, a sack lunch, snacks and beverage because these items will not be provided.

Save the dates: Saturday, September 12th and Saturday, November 24th
Starting on site at 9:00 am till 4:00 pm.

If you are unable to volunteer, please consider making a donation of any amount. All funds will go toward the project. You can make checks payable to: Senior Citizen Services, and mail directly to 1705 Commerce Dr. NW, Atlanta, Ga. 30318.
