Volunteering for FBA Kids is NOT for the faint of heart! If you have a desire to serve the Lord and are interested in reaching children and families, we have a place for you.

Teacher

A teacher takes the lead in coordinating all classroom activities. The teacher plans the weekly Bible study and leads teaching and instruction, including activities, games and crafts to correspond with lessons. The teacher is responsible for getting to know, praying for, and encouraging  the children in the class.

Teacher’s Assistant

An assistant is one who works alongside the teacher(s) during weekly Bible study to facilitate  the spiritual development of the children. They are responsible for aiding the teacher with various tasks such as taking roll, organizing projects and overall room management.

Assistants will also take on the role of In-reach and Outreach coordination. They will identify ministry needs and contact absentee members of the class, as well as contacting class prospects and visitors  through cards, calls and e-mails. Greeter

Greeters will be available each week to greet families in the Children’s Welcome area, help guests register for classes, answer questions about the ministry, and guide people around the facility.

Greeters do not necessarily need to stay for both services or the entire service. We most need help from 8:45 a.m. – 9:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. This allows Greeters to be involved in areas of ministry or adult Sunday school. God’s Masterpieces Helpers

God's Masterpieces is a Sunday school program designed for individuals of all ages with special needs. Helpers are needed for the younger special education class to coordinate all classroom activities  nd manage the safety and health of the students. Helpers are responsible for getting to know and praying for the students in the class and their families.

KidZone Volunteers

The following needs are for KidZone Worship (Sunday large group assembly) and KidZone Wednesdays (worship rally following children's choir).

Storyteller

The storyteller presents the Bible story, verse or principle of the day in a way that makes the story an entertaining and interactive learning experience for the children involved. Storytellers should be gifted in communicating details, understanding scripture and Biblical concepts, and interacting with a large audience of various ages. Must be available at least once a month.

Actors

Actors are needed for  themed skits, characters, game shows and Bible story reenactments. These men and women should have the ability to memorize quickly, easily jump into scenarios, and communicate well. Some drama or improv experience preferred.

Must be 16 years of age or older, and available for rehearsals and performances at least twice a month.
