Pastor James' Vision

Psalm 78:4 commands us to, “…tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord…” The Psalmist goes on to say that if we do this that then they would “tell their children,” that “they would put their trust in God,” and that “they would keep His commands.”  This is our passion, and this is our purpose.  While children are the focus of our ministry, our purpose extends to those who are entrusted with their spiritual development as well.  Children: To love them and to lead them into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.  Most children, even those who are in church every week, don't know or believe that anybody loves and accepts them just as they are. We must lead them to Jesus and challenge them to follow Him, trust Him, and become more like Him, not only through what we say but by the godly example we live before them. Parents: To equip them to excel in their role as the primary spiritual influence in their child’s life.  While most parents know their responsibility to lead their children in spiritual matters far too many abandon these matters solely to the church, missing some of the greatest challenges and joys of parenthood.  We desire to partner with parents by training, encouraging, and equipping them to be confident and successful spiritual leaders in their home. Volunteers: To enlist, train, and equip adults to invest in children and to employ their spiritual gifts in meaningful service and ministry. Children are to be highly valued, and they possess an innate ability to add value to adults who spend time among them.  We desire to help adults find great fulfillment in service, bearing much fruit as they invest their lives in the spiritual formation of children.
