God’s greatest priority for us is that we grow in intimacy with Him. Out of this stems an abundant spiritual life. Salvation is the beginning of a grand journey in which we totally commit our lives to Christ, and He, in turn, lives through us.
Here at FBA, there are many opportunities to invest your life and grow closer to God. Please remember the four key words that correspond to the heart of FBA and form a framework for your understanding of how God desires to grow you. While you may find that for a season you can focus on only one aspect, after time you will find yourself dissatisfied and unfulfilled at FBA if you do not seek to grow in each of the four areas.

1. Learn God's Word and His principles through intimacy with Christ
Through the daily practice of Bible study, prayer, Scripture meditation and fellowship with other believers, you develop a deep intimacy with God through Christ. Once you learn God's truth, put it into daily practice in your life. God's greatest priority is having an intimate relationship with you. Learning His Word is foundational to becoming a satisfied and fruitful part of the body of Christ. Over time and consistent practice of this discipline, you will be transformed by Christ and become more and more like Him as He lives through you.

2. Love God and love others
God must be the greatest priority in our lives. God also desires that we maintain healthy relationships with others. He created us as people who need each other. Fellowship with other believers fills an important need in our lives. Time together allows us to experience and give encouragement, personal accountability and to grow in our understanding of God's Word and application to our lives. When God is our first priority, we will also share His love with others by sharing the Gospel, meeting needs and exhibiting Christ-like love for those around us.

3. Lead others through your God-given design and purpose
God has gifted every believer for service with a unique blend of personality traits, spiritual gifts, special abilities and life experiences that equip him or her to serve in and through the church body. Every believer has a role to play in the ministry, and no role is more important than the others. God has designated His people as ambassadors for Christ who are entrusted with the great treasure of the Gospel message and the task of making disciples on the earth. This responsibility begins with a personal commitment to personal spiritual growth, which leads each of us to make more disciples through intentionally investing in others on a spiritual basis through mentoring and building relationships.

4. Live your life on mission for God
Our lives are commissioned by God for the great purpose of living a life that reflects Christ in every way. Ultimately, Christ lives in and through us each day. The abundant Christian life recognizes the calling every believer has to live on mission. Our faith must be integrated into every arena of our lives. You have a part to play in the sharing of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Each of us must put the truths of the Bible into practice in our daily lives and share Christ through our action and words in our workplace, community and home.
