Military Ministry

Our military men and women have given us so much, and FBA wants to give something back. The new Military Ministry's mission is to "encourage, help and support the active military members, their families and veterans in the FBA community."

First Baptist Church Atlanta has officially adopted the 560th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade. There are approximately 1,500 soldiers in this brigade and some are currently serving in Afghanistan while others are still stateside, awaiting orders for their next tour of duty.

Backpacks for the Children of our Military Families

militaryphotoThank you, FBA members, for donating backpacks for the children of our military families! We are thrilled to announce that we exceeded our goal of 500 by 119!

First Baptist Atlanta is working with a “Family Readiness Group” at Oglethorpe Armory who will contact us whenever military personnel or military families have special needs. Collecting the backpacks was our most recent project. If you would like to be part of our Military Committee, please contact us.
