| FAQ |
We treat ministers, individuals, couples, families, missionaries and anyone who is tired of hurting.
We treat anxiety, burnout, crisis/disaster, depression, family conflicts, marriage breakdown, physical/emotional abuse, stress, loneliness and much more.
Intensive Counseling typically takes place over the course of one week.
You may register for intensive counseling by going to our Intensive Counseling web page, and clicking on the "register now" tab. You will need a major credit card to register.
The cost for intensive counseling is $1260. (The intensive counseling fee includes a non-refundable registration fee of $150). This fee covers the cost of counseling only. The fee for hotel and lodging are in addition to your counseling fee, and vary according to which facility you choose. Normally, the hotel room runs about $79 a night plus tax.
We offer two payment options on our Website. You may choose to pay in full or in four monthly installments. Each payment option requires a major credit card.
Clients check into their hotel/place of lodging on a Sunday afternoon after 3 p.m. The first session begins on Monday morning at 9 a.m. Each day will consist of meeting with the counselor, time for prayer and reflection, and homework assignments. A typical day runs 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. The last day of the session is completed on a Friday around 11 a.m. to give the client time to leave their hotel/place of lodging at the required check-out time.
Due to the intensive nature of the counseling sessions, we request that you do not bring your child/children or any pets with you. It is important for the client to be able to focus during counseling and not be distracted in any way.
We always try to place a male counselor with male clients and a female counselor with a female client. In the case of married couples, you may have either a male or female counselor depending on availability.
We do not file insurance. You may save your receipts and submit them to your insurance company after you have completed your counseling. There is no guarantee that your insurance company will pay for your counseling. FBA is not responsible for any counseling sessions not covered by your insurance.
We request our Intensive Counseling clients stay in a hotel/place of lodging because the atmosphere is conducive to healing. This allows our clients time to commune with God away from the day-to-day distractions we all face in our lives.
Most of the hotels we use offer small refrigerators/and or microwaves in the rooms. You are always free to bring your own food or go out to your favorite restaurants. Most of the hotels we use offer a free shuttle service to local restaurants within a three-mile radius of the hotel.
You may eat out. We request that you do not plan to eat out during the times you will be meeting with your counselor. This is for your benefit. You will have specific free times allotted during your week of counseling for rest and relaxation.
We ask our clients to bring their Bible, a notebook with paper, and a pen or pencil. You may also wish to bring a sweater or light jacket as some people are sensitive to the coolness of air conditioning in the buildings.
