Are you interested in improving your English? First Baptist Atlanta is excited to offer English as a Second Language. We will offer classes for beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. Can your “everyday” prayers become powerful, life-changing prayers? Dr. Stanley has written so much on this subject in short, easy-to-study articles that we will spend most of our time studying. We will look at existing prayers in Scripture and apply them to our lives. Additionally, we will practice prayer during each class.

Sept. 3: Preparing for Emergencies -- Terrorism and Disasters; A Family Plan
The first session offers a practical guide that walks families through the necessary steps for being prepared in the event of terrorist attacks and natural or man-made disasters.

Sept. 10: Closing the Door on Crime -- Tips for Protecting Your Home
Learn steps anyone can take to repel burglars and safeguard a home. This session discusses the most effective tips and the very minimum cost.

Sept. 17: How to Protect Your Family From Internet Dangers
This session clearly explains how to protect your family from identify theft, online sexual predators, scams, etc. It covers setting clear rules for Internet use, monitoring children's access to the Net, and teaching children to keep personal information private. It also explains how to report suspicious incidents or offenses.

Sept. 24: Come learn about the latest scams and how to avoid them.

Marriage Enrichment - Sorry, this class is full.

This 12-week intensive study is designed to move your marriage relationship out of Egypt and into the Promised Land. The class confronts commonly held myths about marriage with truth. As it continues, you also will see how God desires to use even your mate’s imperfections to bring each partner into dependency on Christ’s life and into intimacy with each other. The required textbook is “Marriage! The Journey,” by Dr. Anne Trippe. Who Were the Prophets and What Was Their Message?

Sixteen books in our Bible (Isaiah – Malachi) are labeled "Prophetical Books." Who were these men that God raised up in the Old Testament? What was their message for their day? Could they really predict the future? Portions from the Prophetical Books will be examined as they relate to their own day and end-time events. Topics will include the prophets’ messages regarding Israel, the nations, the Messiah, the Tribulation Period, the eternal state, etc. Come and experience the world of the prophets and the world that is to come!
